Dans les Rues de Montréal (Remastered)

"Dans les Rues de Montréal" was the first major underground success for Vinny Rebel. Released in 2004, it marked a moment when Vinny Rebel decided to go all-in—betting everything on his music and CD sales to make a living, rather than engaging in the illicit activities common in downtown Montreal. Given his genuine reputation as a Montreal "OG," the track quickly became a hit. It appeared on around twenty compilations and mixtapes—including Souldia’s debut mixtape, Underground Parasites - 187 Homicide Verbal, as well as Shoddy Vol. 3 and Sans Pression (SP) Vol. 4, to name just a few.

The song also featured as a bonus track on Vinny Rebel’s EP, The Elements of Corruption, which he released through his own independent label, Trinity Records. The EP sold over 5,000 copies between 2003 and 2005. This project paved the way for further successes, and "Dans les Rues de Montréal" remains in rotation on hip-hop radio stations across Quebec today.

Now, to celebrate more than 40 years in the rap game, Vinny is releasing a newly remastered version, available for download right now, ahead of its official release on November 1.
